Today, many colleges, universities and foundations advertise thousands of scholarships for international students. Some of these opportunities come with special conditions as well as privileges. For instance, some scholarships are based on religious beliefs.
This article shares scholarships for Muslim international students only. The advantage of this kind of scholarship is that it limits the number of people who can apply, and provides higher chances of success to students who apply. This is because if the number of students who apply for a scholarship is small, those who applied have a greater chance of getting the desired scholarship.

AMANA MUTUAL FUNDS SCHOLARSHIP
This is a US-based scholarship for students who study mathematics, economics and finance. The Society of North America sponsors Amana Mutual Funds Scholarship with the aim to provide the needed financial aid to Muslim communities. To eligible, applicants must:
- Be an undergraduate at a university
- Be a permanent resident in the USA
- Have a GPA above 3.0
- Major in subjects such as Economics, Finance and Mathematics

MUSLIM YOUTH LEADERSHIP AWARD
This scholarship was created in 2003 to give excellent education and community service to future leaders. The Muslim Youth Leadership Award encourages students to join full-time law or journalism programs. They must also show active participation in politics. When students are selected, they are expected to join a one year active community project. To be eligible for this scholarship, students must:
- Have graduated high school before the semester begins
- Submit two recommendation letters
- Submit application letter before the deadline
- Students in full-time journalism or law programs must complete a section of the recommended specialized essays in order to get some bonuses
- Have at least a GPA of 2.5 on the 4.0 scale

ASSR SCIENCE SCHOLARSHIP
The ASSR Science Scholarship is sponsored by the Canadian Albert Association. This is a scholarship that aims at developing the dreams of students who wish to study at Canadian universities. However, the scholarship is majorly for full-time postgraduate studies and also has limited slots for undergraduate students. For eligibility, students must:
- Give an assurance that they will return to their countries after the program
- Submit their academic scores
- Live in their home countries at the time of application
- Have adequate knowledge and plan on how to conduct research
The deadline for ASSR Science Scholarship is May 16.
ISLAMIC SCHOLARSHIP FUND
The Islamic Scholarship Fund is an opportunity organized for Muslim students to study in the United States. It is to enable them study major courses or programs and to increase Muslim presence in Law, Politics and Media. Muslim students and members of Muslim Communities in the USA are welcome to apply. To be eligible, students must:

MUSLIM EDUCATION TRUST SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is targeted at Muslim students living in India. The purpose is to improve the social and economic conditions of these students and indirectly help the nation’s economic growth. The scholarship offers opportunities in fields such as Engineering, Business Administration, Medicine, Chartered Accountancy and Computer Applications. To be eligible, students must:
- Understand that Muslim Education Trust provides scholarships based on available funds every year
- Be ready for interview by a group of selected committee members
- Be willing to participate in community development immediately after the completion of program

FADEL EDUCATION FOUNDATION
The Fadel family is behind this amazing scholarship. It is a scholarship that supports Muslims living in America to complete higher education. The Fadel Education Foundation offers grants to interested American Muslims. As a result, qualified students enjoy free tuition fees throughout the duration of their programs. To be eligible, students must:
- Submit application forms and financial reports
- Present recommendation letters from two teachers
- Submit official masjid recommendation letter
- Present their financial support needs
- Keep applying for the grants every year until the completion of the program

KING FAISAL FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
This is a scholarship for Muslim students who demonstrate excellent academic performance anywhere in the world. The King Faisal Foundation Scholarship Program targets student with financial struggles. The categories of students are those in engineering, science, medicine and science at both undergraduate and graduate levels. To be eligible for this scholarship, students must:
- Have high academic score and performance
- Must graduate with good grades from high school or college
- Expect scholarship to cover full tuition and monthly stipend

OXFORD CENTER FOR ISLAMIC STUDIES SCHOLARSHIPS
The Oxford Center for Islamic Studies is an independent center at Oxford University. These scholarships are for students who are worried because of insufficient funds to study at Oxford. The scholarship targets students pursuing Islamic Studies. Each applicant receives full tuition fees and living expenses throughout the duration of the program. For eligibility, students must:

AZIZ FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP 2024-2025
The Aziz Foundation scholarship offers grants to British Muslims. Students who want better social representation but experience financial obstacles will receive full financial help from this foundation. The Aziz Foundation focuses on providing scholarships to students who want to fulfill their higher education dreams. This fully funded scholarship is for Muslim students interested in pursuing Master’s degree programs. Apart from this, the foundation provides partner scheme scholarships in major disciplines at universities such as The University of Sussex, Aston University, City University of London, St, Edmunds’ College University of Cambridge and University of Birmingham. To be eligible for this scholarship, students must:

MAX SCHOLARSHIP
The Max Scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate excellent high school performance or brilliant university results. It is an opportunity targeted at helping and motivating the Muslims in Canada. Max Scholarship is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students in fields such as Science, Medicine, Humanities, Arts and Business, and Engineering.

ISLAMIC DEVELOPMENT BANK SCHOLARSHIP
The need for more quality human resources is the reason behind the Islamic Development Bank Scholarship. This is an opportunity for interested students to pursue their Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD degrees. To be eligible, students must:

- Understand the language used in teaching the intended course of study
