Wealth and riches come from God and He gives them to anyone He chooses. None of us has the power to create wealth. If we cannot create life, then we have no power to create riches. This is because life and wealth are connected. You cannot have wealth unless you are already a living being. Only God has the power to create and give life. And if only has that power, He alone can give riches and wealth. 

I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently find me. Riches and honor are with me, enduring wealth and righteousness. – ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭8:17‭-‬18‬ ‭ESV

There are two ways to get wealth and become rich. The two broad ways are through God and through Satan. Some people feel that God is too slow or largely uninterested in their lives. So they go ahead and accept the wealth from Satan. In the end, they sell their souls to the devil and cut their lives short. 

The other way to get riches is by trusting God to bless the works of your hands. You commit that job, career or business into God’s hands and ask Him to send His blessings on it. 

You shall remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may confirm his covenant that he swore to your fathers, as it is this day. – ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭8:18‬ ‭ESV

Faith in God and hard work are the requirements for biblical financial breakthrough. God does not bless a lazy Christian. The best God can do it encourage and warn against laziness and idleness. God prospers only what He sees us doing. When Jesus fed the 5000 men, He didn’t conjure bread from the air. He worked with the few loaves and fishes that were available. 

But Jesus said, “They need not go away; you give them something to eat.” They said to him, “We have only five loaves here and two fish.” And he said, “Bring them here to me.” – ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭14:16‭-‬18‬ ‭ESV‬‬
